今年31歲了，按照往年生日都要探索一個新地方的傳統，我們去了太浩湖畔的蒼茫荒野背包露營。
I am turning 31 this year. Following the tradition of exploring a new place on my birthday every year, we went backpacking in the Desolation Wilderness by Lake Tahoe.
夏威夷島（大島）| Hawai’i (Big Island)
在可愛島上盤桓數日後，我們前往夏威夷島（大島）。大島感覺比可愛島更鄉下，但我們每一天都有新的驚喜。
After a few days in Kaua’i, we traveled to the Island of Hawai’i (the Big Island). The Big Island felt even more rural than Kaua’i, yet we were wowed by new wonders every day.
可愛島 | Kaua’i
今年冬天因為新冠疫情持續肆虐，無法像往年一樣回台灣，所以我們決定利用假期造訪全美國離台灣最近的一州：夏威夷。第一站是有「花園之島」美譽的可愛島。
This winter, we could not go back to Taiwan because COVID continues to rage. Therefore, we decided to visit the state that is the closest to Taiwan — Hawai’i. Our first stop is the beautiful “Garden Island” — Kaua’i.
30・阿拉斯加 | 30・Alaska
我很幸運，在過去近十年間能透過旅行不斷地拓展視野、提升自我。三十歲之後，我期許自己能保持一顆年輕又謙卑的心，繼續「讀萬卷書，行萬里路」。
I have been fortunate enough in the past decade to keep broadening my horizons and enriching my knowledge through traveling. After I turn 30, I hope I can maintain a young and humble heart, and continue to “read ten thousand books, travel ten thousand miles.”
3 x Half Dome | 三登半穹頂
I summited Half Dome for the first time when I was 24; I thought I was going to die on the cables. I summited Half Dome again when I was 27; it almost felt like a home game. I summited Half Dome for a third time when I am 29 – this time I brought new friends to conquer a formidable mountain.
24歲初登半穹頂，以為我的小命要交代在山上；27歲再登半穹頂，似乎成了我的主場；29歲三登半穹頂，這次是帶著新人，攻克了他們心中不可攀越的高山。
優勝美地 | Yosemite
這是我第三次去優勝美地，卻是第一次不爬半穹頂，終於有機會領略優勝美地另外的風光。
This is my third time in Yosemite, but my first time not hiking Half Dome. Finally got to explore other parts of Yosemite
《親愛的旅人啊》| “Dear Traveler”
我從《親愛的旅人啊》中聽到的，就是人生必然持續向前推進。而我何其有幸，在人生的旅途中能碰到這麼多美好的人，看著我登峰造極、看著我摔得粉身碎骨，再把我從萬丈深淵中拉出來。
What I heard from “Dear Traveler” is that life will move on no matter what, and I am so fortunate to have met so many wonderful people in my life who saw me laugh, saw me cry, saw me shattered, and saw me piece myself back together.
29・紅木｜29 · Redwood
今年是我「二十幾歲」的最後一年，我送了自己兩件生日禮物。
This is the last year of my twenties, and I got myself two gifts.
紀水沙連（三）：我要青春不要曬
這天是陽光明媚的一天。有鑒於上次在綠島看日出的慘痛經驗，所以羅三番兩次提議要看日出都被大家異口同聲地 crindle並否決了。大家安安穩穩地睡到七點半，才以阿桑般的龜速梳妝打扮。
紀水沙連（二）：陳屍的沉思亭
結束了勞頓的「環半湖之旅」後，飢腸轆轆的阿桑們回到了水社碼頭的街上準備吃飯。原本一開始要去吃「新山味」，但是考慮到蠕動的肩胛骨之類的已經夠「新山」了，於是我們就去吃隔壁的合菜。
