Dear Dad,
Happy birthday! Every time when I hear “Red Dragonfly,” I think of you. Perhaps it’s because this song is filled with optimism and energy just like you, or perhaps it’s because you always encourage me to let my dreams fly, just like what the lyrics say.
In March, I started a new journey. In the past two months, you and Hsiao-Tung moved twice. Although we are striving on the opposite sides of the world, but it feels like we bid farewell to a phase of our lives and moved on to a new stage together. Let’s continue to work hard together in the upcoming days. I hope all our dreams will take off in the wind, just like the red dragonflies in our hearts.
(Now I am in London for work, walking on the streets that you and Mom used to walk, God knows how much I wish you are both by my side.)
